I would like to thank you for visiting my site. I am running for Justice of the Peace in North Las Vegas Department #3, a newly created judicial position. I hope this website provides enough information about me and why I am a great candidate.

After several years in public and private practice with extensive trial experience in civil, criminal and administrative law, I am seeking the position of Justice of the Peace in North Las Vegas Department 3. My commitment to public service and demonstrated leadership in improving the quality of life in North Las Vegas makes her the most qualified candidate for North Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Department 3.


My Family:
My family and I have been residents of North Las Vegas for 8 years. My children attend local elementary schools and my husband and I are members of P.T.A's. I am a board member of the Eldorado II Homeowners Association and the former secretary of the group. I am actively involved in my community and provide free legal advice to the North Las Vegas Alliance of Homeowners Associations and assisted them with the gas lamp issue. I was also one of the attorneys who provided pro bono legal advice to help Eldorado residents defeat a proposal to build 644 apartment units at the corner of Centennial Pkwy and Revere next to Seastrand Park in North Las Vegas .

I enrolled my foster children in the Equal Opportunity Board of Clark County (E.O.B.) Head Start Programs as a parent representative on Head Start Parent Policy Council. I have worked as a Teacher for the E.O.B. Head Start Cow Bus Program and while working for E.O.B. I passed the Nevada State Bar Examination.

My Professional Background:
I am a practicing attorney licensed in Nevada and California and have sat as a Judge Pro Tem in North Las Vegas Justice Court . I am also a former prosecutor with 30 jury trials with a 90 percent conviction rate. I own my law practice specializing in criminal defense, personal injury, family law and business transactions. I was part of the United States Delegation for the first international joint law conference on Women and children held in St. Petersburg , Russia . I was also a judge for the Nevada State Bar “We The People” National Bicentennial Competition on the Constitution.

As a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity (PAD), I participated in the PAD United States Supreme Court Swearing-In Ceremony. I was a founding member of the Las Vegas Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women serving as the groups Public Policy Chair and attending the 100 Black Women Legislative Days in Washington D.C. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

I am president of the Foster Care & Adoption Association of Nevada (FCAAN) and appeared on Jon Rawlston “FACE TO FACE” to discuss the legal issues and the foster care system. I am registered as a nonprofit Lobbyist and has testified before the Nevada Legislature regarding the “Foster Children's Bill of Rights”. Last legislative session FCAAN worked with the Governor of Nevada and the Nevada State Legislature to obtain pay raises for foster care providers and millions of dollars to improve Clark County , Nevada 's foster care system. I am on the Legislative Policy Committee of the National Foster Parent Association (NFPA) and currently running for Vice President of the NFPA. I recently participated in the Clark County Foster Care Round Table.

I am committed to public service and I've demonstrated leadership in improving the quality of life in North Las Vegas makes the most qualified and desired candidate for North Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Department 3.
