About Marsha Kimble-Simms, Esq.

Family:

She is married and has five beautiful children and one spoiled grandchild. Marsha was born in Detroit, Michigan and is the youngest of four children. Her father was an assistant principal of a high school and her mother was a social worker.

Education:

Marsha attended public schools and graduated from Cass Technical High School majoring in performing arts. Marsha's dream was to be a singer and actor. After graduating from high school Marsha attended and graduated from the University of Michigan with B.A. Mass Communications and with a minor in performing arts.

 

She also studied French and spent a summer in France attending the University of Tours, in Touraine, France. After graduating from college Marsha attended and graduated from the University of Detroit School of Law. While in law school she joined the United States Army Reserve and was assigned to a local Judge Advocate General Unit (JAG.) During Marsha's senior year in college her mother suffered a stroke and Marsha took care of her while attending college and law school. Unfortunately, her mother passed away two months before Marsha graduated from law school.

Experience:

After graduating from law school Marsha moved to Los Angels , California to pursue an acting career. Prior to taking the California Bar Examination Marsha worked at the Department of Consumer affairs protecting consumers from unscrupulous and unfair business practices. After passing the California Bar Examination she also, worked as a Clients' Right Advocate for the developmentally disabled protecting their due process rights and representing them in administrative hearings before state agencies.

For several years she operated her own law office eventually becoming prosecutor. As a prosecutor Marsha had a 90 percentage rate. Shortly, after becoming a prosecutor she met her husband and got married eventually to North Las Vegas , Nevada. Her husband retired from his job as a firefighter. Marsha was a housewife and foster mother and kinship care provider before passing the Nevada Bar Examination.

After 14 years in public and private practice with extensive trial experience in civil, criminal and administrative law, Marsha is seeking the position of Justice of the Peace in North Las Vegas Department 3. Her commitment to public service and demonstrated leadership in improving the quality of life in North Las Vegas makes her the most qualified candidate for North Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Department 3.
